this song was inspired by how lots of environmentalists, including myself, do a better job criticising other peoples' lifestyles than examining our own. I hope we can find better ways of holding each other accountable without holding ourselves to an impossible standard, and of learning to prioritise long-term systemic activism rather virtue-signalling lifestyle changes. In my opinion, you need to find your comfort zone in terms of how much/what type of activism you can do, and then just gently push yourself to expand that comfort zone slowly over time. But that's a difficult balance to find and it is always a debate in my head.

i don't know if this song contributes to that debate but i feel like it's a debate that could use some laughs and some music.
